My story

I've spent my life aboard. Captain Crews is everything I learned out there.

Over 20 years in the marine world: marine mechanic from the age of fifteen, yacht captain, then founder of a marine mechanics and boat management company in Mauritius. Here's the story that gave rise to Captain Crews.

I never really chose the sea.

It was already part of my life. I didn't discover it in an office or in books, but out on the docks, down in the engine room and at the helm. For more than twenty years, I lived the marine world from the inside.

Captain Crews wasn't born from a business plan or a marketing study. It was born on the water, from thousands of hours spent maintaining, repairing, managing and sailing boats. It's the software I wish I'd had throughout my career.

The engine side

I learned boats through the engine.

Hooked on marine mechanics from my earliest years, I made it my job at fifteen. I did an apprenticeship, earned a trade certificate and then a vocational diploma, all while working on real engines every day.

Over the years, I maintained and repaired boats of every size, from small pleasure craft to yachts over 100 feet. Every boat is different, every breakdown is unique, and it's in the engine room that I built my experience.

The helm & management side

Then I crossed to the other side.

For six years, I worked as a yacht captain. At the helm, you're no longer managing just an engine: you're managing a crew, owners, guests, a schedule, budgets, maintenance and, above all, everyone's safety.

In 2018, I left France to start my own marine mechanics and boat management company in Mauritius. That experience let me live the daily reality of owners, captains and crews — their constraints, their unexpected problems… and the limits of the tools that existed.

Why I built Captain Crews

For years, I ran everything at once: mechanics in the morning, management in the evening, the scheduling, the reports, keeping track of every boat and every crew. I knew the history of nearly every job by heart. And yet, however organized I was, the information always ended up scattered: part of it in my head, the rest spread across WhatsApp threads, emails, photos lost in my phone and a few notebooks.

One day it became obvious: the problem wasn't how organized I was, but the lack of a single tool to bring everything together.

That's when Captain Crews was born. I set out to build the software I wish I'd had from the very first day of my career — software designed by someone who has actually lived the work, to pass on more than twenty years of experience and to let owners, crews and marine professionals find any piece of information in seconds instead of wasting time hunting for it.

What Captain Crews puts in your hands

Captain Crews brings boating management and maintenance together in one place. For owners, it's clarity: knowing what's happening on their boat without having to chase down the information. For crews, it's less paperwork and less mental load, work that's better organized, from clocking in to tracking every job. For professionals, it's a real command tool, built by someone who lived this work from the inside for over 20 years. Every feature comes from a real need I lived through, not a box to tick.

See for yourself

I know boats from both sides: from the engine room to the helm. Captain Crews is that experience turned into a tool. The best way to judge a tool born on the water is to try it.
